JEFF & CREW

Jeff “Acrocat” Miller  – Your Host

Virginia Beach, VA

Jeff is super happy to hold this 3rd annual Acro de Playa Workshop Weekend event for all you lovely people.

As part of the Acro Love Family, he loves  diving headfirst into a world of connection, laughter, and unforgettable moments. His mission? To cheer you on as you crush your personal goals — no matter your experience level. He’s all about helping you on your acro journey, promoting safe play, learning at your own pace, and, most importantly, having an absolute blast.

Jeff has been flipping, flying, and balancing his way through Acro Yoga since 2014 in the sunny Virginia Beach area.  His questionable relationship with ADHD and lack of sleep fuels a whirlwind of planning epic events, mini-workshops, playful jams, and delightfully ridiculous antics and one of the masterminds behind the AcroYoga757 club. In Jeff’s book, AcroYoga isn’t just for the super bendy or ultra-strong — it’s got a little sumthin-sumthin for everybody and every body. So get ready to fly, laugh, and maybe even surprise yourself!

CHASE ROHAN & SHELLY BRODER

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA

Chase started his people lifting days as a stuntman on his high school cheerleading team. It was only natural that he made his way to Acro! Through this newfound journey, Chase has made his way to many festivals and teacher trainings while also teaching local classes, workshops, and at various festivals. He can be heard occasionally telling a dad joke or two… His punny ways help create a playful environment where folks can be their true selves!

Shelly has been practicing acro for over ten years, and has been a member of many wonderful acro communities in the U.S. and internationally. She has taught acro in a variety of settings including local classes, and national and international festivals. Shelly uses her professional background as a music therapist and former college professor to create class and community cultures that encourage support, connection, technique, and safety!

JESSE BOWES

Jesse enjoys watching your study of acrobatics progression. There are so many ways to practice; and I hope you find those ways you like best. Training acrobats and acro teachers, I spend the most time talking about group communication or psychological preparation..

If I can convince my acro partner, Erin Jones, to do a skill – it must be safe! Or, at least safety has been discussed. Check out our pass the flyer workshop – if you want to exploit the power of teamwork. If you’re a flowy, mover and shaker – we’ve got some challenging hoop acro that you might incorporate into your next performance.

ERIN JONES

Erin is new to planet earth. She’s always cosplaying as human, and sometimes is acroing, hooping, or acro hooping. She’s been practicing acro with Jesse since she couldn’t even conceptualize doing a mono shoulderstand, and continues to look at him with a skeptical face whenever he suggests working on skills she still can’t even conceptualize doing.

ARI DARMON

Ari brings a blend of strength, playfulness, and grounded presence to every practice. With a focus on trust, communication, and clean technique, Ari creates an inviting space where partners feel supported, connected, and encouraged to explore new possibilities.

His approach is equal parts mindful, uplifting, and fun — making AcroYoga accessible and inspiring for anyone who steps onto the mat with him. His smile and grounded presence and an encouraging spirit that helps partners feel safe, supported, and empowered.

ROB LI

Philadelphia, PA

Rob Li has spent 30 years in acrobatics and cheerleading, sharing his knowledge with movement artists around the world. He cheered for Drexel University, the Philadelphia Soul, and the Philadelphia 76ers, and later coached Temple University’s co-ed cheer team. He has taught Acro at festivals and workshops across the U.S. and internationally, including South Africa, Singapore, Japan, and Taiwan.

Rob has created and led many innovative programs, including SUP Acro, Pole Acro, and Aerial Acro workshops. He has choreographed performances, organized workshops, and co-hosted intensives with world champions and Cirque du Soleil coaches. He also founded PhillyAcro, a program that helps beginners through advanced students learn and grow in Acro.

After leaving a tech career to follow his passion, Rob founded Active Elixir, an apparel company designed for acrobats and movement artists. He is also a photographer specializing in movement arts.

Rob is known for his global project of lifting 10,000 people in Acro poses, inspiring thousands through his #ridetherob challenge. Featured on Fox 29, 6ABC, CBS3, and Philadelphia Magazine, he continues to inspire others to explore and experience the joy of Acro.

Eric & Kelly

Baltimore, MD

Eric Sipes found a love of movement arts when he began teaching himself to breakdance via the internet in early 2000. Hardly able to contain his excitement and passion for movement, he began sharing his practice with any and everyone. After moving to Baltimore in 2011 he was introduced to AcroYoga and it changed his life completely. Today Eric has had thousands of hours training with professionals from all over the world. He has several teacher certifications including AcroYoga International, AcroLove, Lux Seattle Acro, and more! You can catch in Baltimore teaching multiple weekly classes, or performing at various venues with his partner Kelly Marburger and the acrobatic troupe “ClubSandwich Acrobatics”. Find him on Instagram @sipes and FB at ” Eric N. Sipes “.

Kelly Marburger has been practicing acrobatics for over a decade. She started training in circus acrobatics in 2011 with Lin Junming. In 2015 she received a teaching certification from Acro Yoga International and has been teaching acro in and around the Baltimore area for over 7 years. She has continued her training with amazing coaches including Brian Kincher and Jean-Luc Martin. In addition to teaching she has been performing as a flyer, mid, and base in Baltimore based acrobatic troupe Club Sandwich for 7 years. She also performs and teaches with her husband, Eric Sipes!

Noah Vegh-Gaynor

Noah first found partner acrobatics in 2015, and has been teaching since 2018. He loves all of the many types of skills within partner acrobatics, but his favorites are Icarian pops, dynamic standing skills, and weird, hard acro. When teaching, Noah tries to guide students to find shared ease of movement and lightness in poses, with a strong focus on building slowly and progressively. It’s important to him that students first have fun and feel safe, adding in challenges as they are ready.
